Background
As an unknown warrior, suddenly one day, you received a call from some mysterious force. They gave you the task to raid an ancient castle. You will investigate the evil who had spread the dark magic and turned all the soldiers in this ancient castle into unconscious zombies.
As you go deeper into the adventure, you will travel through many different spaces, from the swamp to the deep dark tunnel, and the strange castle in the middle of the ground… Go deeper to uncover the secrets there. At the same time, discover your identity, which is also the reason why you are the only one who can perform this difficult task. And finally, find the king and find out why this mysterious castle was buried underground.
Character’s weapons and equipment, you must consider each choice
I found it is quite easy when controlling the brave adventurer character in Magic Rampage. The lower-left corner is the navigation button, the lower-right corner is the jump and attack control button. On the above left is the character’s equipment including weapons and armor selection.
The action is not complicated, and the movement is also basic. The Platform element is also quite traditional. Thus, the crux of the problem lies in the selection of weapons and armor. Depending on the enemy and the obstacles in each scene, you must brainstorm to see which item you should use. Some items may be extremely powerful in stage A, but when reaching stage B, they become useless. For example, fireproof armor will of course save you through the fire. But for the zombies, fireproof armor is not a big deal. They will still rush to bite you as usual.
So, try to choose the right equipment for the main character, which is also a way to strengthen yourself against a series of enemies.
Variety of game modes
When there is no complicated plot or no too unique gameplay, the great game mode system is a good impression. The game mode system here is quite rich, making it hard to leave it. I like playing Campaign Mode the most. In here, there are dozens of levels, each level is a different scene with a unique situation where monsters are always new (from giant spiders, dragons, bats, zombies, ghosts…).
They are always cornering adventurers to the climax of challenges. So, only when you think carefully and make decisions decisively at all costs can you win. On the way, remember to pick up coins, diamonds and unlock the secrets of each level to the next level and open new items.
In Survival Mode, you must use all your mind to survive in each scene. The longer you live, the more gold and weapons you get as rewards. You guys should start playing this mode first to accumulate weapons and armor, preparing to fight in other modes.
Just as good as the above mode is the Boss Mode. It is where you join forces with other friendly NPCs to fight a series of horrible Bosses.
Those who are not satisfied with playing alone can play Competitive Online Mode. In this mode, you will fiercely compete with other players from all over the world to see who the best in the dungeons is. This mode offers random playing scenes with unique Bosses and traps everywhere, but the rewards are also extremely worth it.
An example of a classic platform on a modern mobile platform
The Platform element in Magic Rampage is evident from the moment you touch the screen and begin to control the character’s first steps. Everything stretches out in front of you like an endless straight line with lots of traps, forcing you to constantly act (walking, moving quickly, jumping back and forth, launching weapons to attack).
But because it is also a modern role-playing game, our characters are not immutable like the classic platformers. Our unsung warrior/ intrepid adventurer can be slightly customized in appearance. You can choose from one of the classes: Mage, Warrior, Druid, Warlock, Rogue, Paladin, and Thief. At the same time, the weapon system and armor equipment are also very rich. Through each option, you will get a unique advantage to fight. Interestingly, armor and weapons can also have magical elements: fire, water, air, earth, light, and shadow. You are free to choose and use your wits to deal with them in these situations.
And yet, Magic Rampage is also a smooth combination of the above with the dungeon system. Those addicted to endless dungeon battles are invited to join the team of Magic Rampage. It is where you can play all day without limitations.
Graphics and sound
The background scene is a bit dark. The creation of the main character is quite strange. The game has a lot of monsters, mostly different types of zombies. There’s violence, guys. Hit once, and the “pieces” are all over the place. Another violent element is about the effect of killing by strange weapons that the game enthusiastically puts in. But rest assured because it’s not overdone. All the characters are small and beautiful. Dark but not too dark, it is enough to make you both excited to fight and find it funny.
