The weirdest game ever!
Before talking about anything in the game, I want you to take a look at the poster. It goes beyond what people often say about “weird” games. Just as the producer has proudly said: “Doofus Drop is an addictive game made by weird people for weird people”. And to be honest, I’ve never played a game with such an extremely frustrating “surprise” feeling.
The game is nothing but crazy
Don’t expect everything to be right in this game. Maybe only a few pine trees and the sky are normal, the rest from the main character, the roadside obstacles to the rolling hills and mountains… are all from crazy to very crazy.
At first, I had a fleeting thought “would anyone play this weird game?”. But thinking for a while, the answer is: “Well, probably a lot. Partly because of curiosity and its monstrous graphics, partly because normal people have had to live too tiredly because of the principles of life, they will tend to look for “weird” things to relieve mood”. For example, me, who is writing this article.
That’s a quick introduction so you can imagine how weird the game is to impress people, even though it’s just the first time seeing the poster.
The story? There is no story at all
When playing Doofus Drop, you will control Doofus, he’s an alien but I still don’t know what species he belongs to. He was riding a ridiculous bicycle with both wheels pitifully twisted.
Your task in this game is just let it be. Initially given a bicycle, but quickly you will roll over and trip over something as soon as you start a few laps, sometimes a trash can, sometimes a rock.
In short, send the alien Doofus falling down treacherous mountain slopes on his bicycle and overcoming obstacles on the hill like garbage dumps, giant fork, wormholes, some monster skulls unique, surpassing even the immutable principles of gravity and having the longest and most painful “falling path”.
There’s no logic in Doofus Drop
When playing this game, you will fall anyway. All sorts of random fall positions appear, and this is when your character begins to “take money”. The more twists and turns you fall, the more chances you will have more stars. Or a few bouncing shots to rush along the hillsides will also bring for you many stars. Sometimes when falling, a pop-up message board appears like “you’re out of snacks, try to hit a can of canned food, you will be rewarded”. But once you have fallen and rolled, everything is out of control. What the game gives you, you just can only accept it and can’t control anything anymore. That’s why I said that Doofus Drop is the weirdest game ever.
The more you play, the more ridiculous it is than ever. Upgrade your bike, learn to jump further, higher, throw more laps, combine with launching skills, and “fart” when falling to roll as far as possible. Yeah, you didn’t read that wrong, fart. The logic is that figuring out how to fart can make you roll farther, like a natural rocket on the back of your a**, lmao.
Just like that, you just keep doing it, encounter an obstacle or ravine too deep, and get stuck there, then the game over and you have to play from the beginning. Well, sometimes it’s not a simple obstacle but a fork stuck in the sky and you fall and stick your ass right into that sharp fork. This kind of ending situation, do you think it makes you both mad and laughing?
Interspersed with gameplay are several lucky spins, including money, stars, bombs, bicycles, skulls, flints, canned meat. This also helps a lot, for example being stuck in a hole that is too deep, suddenly getting a magic spin, hitting the bomb, the bomb falls on your head, explodes and you go back to the game.
